Farmer Jones and Capt Bligh @ North Turramurra: Turramurra Bowling Club

Getting there a little light I found that the hares had split the run into two one doing the first half and the second the runners loop to finish. This required two briefings.
On examining the map there were no checks or on backs marked on the map, which prompted the question “where are they” Farmer just said you will find them. This he was right.
After the customary runners loop immediately after the start the pack started on a southerly loop up the Chase road winding through a few back lanes and up around Turramurra Oval. Following Turramurra Avenue the trail led to a walker split at Boomerang st.
The trail master head down and arse up and in front of the walkers missed the walkers cut off. A couple of On Backs where seen but as the memory banks are no good I can’t say where they were. After proceeding over Bobin Head road we headed along a good bit of bush trail behind the houses adjacent to North Pymble Park which went for about half a K and ended back on Pentecost Ave.
One K further on took us into Irish town Grove off Adams ave. trouble! A check near the oval saw Spud disappear into the bush on the right side of the oval; the trail master marking the check out in that direction. Over on the left side of the oval chastity belt disappeared into the bush confusing the hell out of the TM who races over to find flower trail so headed back to remark the checkl in that direction as no trail was seen in the other, which ended up the correct way. The president trusting the TM implicitly followed him up to Bannockburn where arrows were found coming to us. This trail was the walker’s shortcut but we were going the wrong direction. At this point TM made an executive decision to make a B line to home.
Spud, Cinders, LCL , Plunger, kitty and others heading the right direction through Kent park ended up almost back at the bucket, but were met by the Hares directing them into a great fire trail in bush heading North towards the golf club where the trail headed back to the streets and on home.
Consensus; Get a new TM who can guess where the checks are. Give a down down to the president for following the TM the wrong way.
Notables: Piko led by Menstrual Man naturally unable to navigate on land, flagged a passing beauty queen for directions who drove them back to the bucket. Not sure how long they took. Also down down next week for them.
The run: Good use of green areas in an otherwise boring area. Run needs more chalk and flour in the dark areas so we keep the pack together better.
