Run #2353 at Belrose. A well thought out run, plenty of variety, a little bit of bush to make us yearn for summer (not long now). Google Earth : Run 2353 It was slightly marred by, shall we say, thin marking. Many complained of going extended distances without seeing an arrow, thus slowing down, hesitating, and even back-tracking. The arrows were either too small, (many of the ones I saw were), or were cunningly hidden, or like Macavity – not there!
The on-on was a welcome surprise from the last visit to that pub. At least we had a room to ourselves. The vouchers were a challenge. As the saying goes “If you had half a mind you’d be hashman” – so the half-minds struggled with the concept of paying double and getting half a meal, or was it the other half of that offer? I never did work it out.
Lots of visitors, one of whom helped set trail. If must have been him not chalking the arrows. Another, Halfpenny, who helped establish the Hash in Rio de Janerio. I think the Rio Olympics are calling me.
