Another Passage to India
As I pulled into Ferguson Ave I was confronted with Frenchie in broad daylight in his Jocks – A shattering way to start the night.
I was late and so missed the run but I was able to gleam all that was needed to know from the conversations at the Bucket – much of it conflicting. Two weeks On and most of you wouldn’t even remember anyway. I also hadn’t been told the Dress Code for the day was Gispert Memorial or 2400th shirt.
All of the Hares of late are in “start at the top of a hill and run to the bottom of the nearest valley” mode and tonite was no different except for the number of slight ups and downs whilst the pack was in the valley. The walkers returned in 45 mins which the Hare Grape Ape found difficult to believe and the runners in just over an hour, with the walkers having to wait around for their designated drivers to go to the ON. Lurch was On again – tonite sans flour dusting (had a shower).
Comments from the Pack included “well marked” – Wrappa, “Abysmal home trail” – Goon Show, “Changi was calling On which he never does so we believed him and followed him” – Little Shit (Now that really is the pot calling the kettle black), “I’m shattered” – Changi. In the midst of all of this a story by Prince Phil – “Jack, Maximus and I are powering along (fib) when Slick drops in on us from the scrub looking confident so we all just followed him” (see result at On)
For the On we were back at Sexy Sonja’s Taj de Thornleigh with the menu a little less ring-stingerish than our last visit. Sonja had remembered Goanna’s request for dessert – actually I think he threatened her that he’d cum back every week if he got dessert – he’d be Robinson Crusoe. I’m not sure if the slight drop in numbers was because of the thrashing we’ve given this place recently. Grape pledged to bring us back AGAIN in the winter.
The Circle was no more orderly than usual with Hares Grape and Plunger up for a Down – Grape had to be pressured to comply with his own edict and remove his hat in the Circle. Next was Slick for mis-leading the Pack (well some of them) – see previous bit on run. His plea was “inexperience”. Then despite the President desperately trying to ignore the situation, E-Shit got a Down for chatting up Betty, the only punter we hadn’t scared off.
Humour from Wee Willie with a story off impeccable woodpeckers with hard-ons, and the irrepressible Tic Toc with his mate Scott the roo-rooter from Thargaminda.
