RUN REPORT  – ROSEVILLE CHASE/ WHITE SHIHT & CENTREPOINT

Tall and white once young now ugly,

the guy from Echo Point a’came walking

As running, and farting each one he passes goes – ooh…

When he walks, he’s like a shih tzu that swings so cool and sways so gentle

That when he passes, each one he passes goes – pooh….

Where was Field Marshal Rommel when you needed him?  Cleverly positioning half their battalion at the top bunker ofBabbage Road, Leading Officers, White Shih Tsu and Slightly left of Centrepoint then directed the rest of the regiment to assemble at the far too convenient area where the bucket and OnOn were to be located.  Not to worry, the warriors soon had the platoon together—back up the ridge where the Turks would surely massacre them, if the Turks had actually caught on to this strategic pincer ploy.

RSoon the 50-strong pack, led by Ayatollah and Foxy plummeted to the waters edge of Middle Harbour.  Moments later,Major DD and Smiley with Melbourne-based son Smirk, overtook the leaders, kicking dust in the face of Darwin Donin hot or at least lukewarm pursuit.  Reversing the Great Nosh trail, the thundering herd, including Scud,

Plunger andTweety, who was uncharacteristically chirpy, flew over the roots, rocks and rubble, valiantly succeeding in avoiding a trip to the right into almost certain doom by drowning.  Unexpecxtedly the mood changed.  The Tall Ones directed the baying pack, now with Payling and Jock up to his jocks in jonquils into the meandering macadam of  Moishe’s lovingly-left Lindfield.  The pack, including PeeDub and “maaate”? John felt compelled to dawdle and smell the Roseville rubbish bins, through the back streets, off the loo lanes, that played so gentle on their minds.  At last even more genteel surrounds…the Roseville Golf Club, as the temp descended into the temperate fairways of this once notorious region of entrapment and wounding of Major General Disaster Disaster with Bar 389.  Virginus and Yakkity, managed to overtake Hanoi and all stomped quickly across the 8th green and hardly left any toe and heel indentations for the Members eagerly anticipating their championship tourney on their favorite course on the morrow (no, not Elusive, Tuesday Morrow).  The pincer movement worked a treat as runners S Bends and Flasher (who’s quack advised him to walk like a duck) soon joined up with walkers Spud and Super together, leaving Little Digger Track far behind.

At the OnOn nestled waterside under comfortable cover, sausages of the most mysterious and tasty componentry were teamed with Centrepoint-crushed mishmashed spuds (not Spud’s), corn on the cob dripping butter and flavour, and beans means farts..a perfect repast prepared by Executive Chef Pilko.  All too soon a dessert of melons (see pic) and Greek yoghurt arrived, a natural segue into the proceedings of the evening.  A warm gushy Posh welcome was given byPrecedent Music to guests of Music and TToc, Farmer Bob Scott of Nabiac (cyclist), John friend of PeeDub (Crazy John), and Smirk son of Smiley (wipe that off your face young Smiley).  In presenting the appeal of next Friday’s Bluewater Regatta, Jack the Ripper, could not avoid alluding to Mr Foes aka E-Shit’s new craft, MV Inappropriate who showed and told about his navigational skills with multi-variegated balls of colour (E-Shit is brilliant you know that..he can light up a room, simply by flicking a switch).  Humour was flying like it had hit the fan, from S Bends, PeeDub, TToc and the crack-up of the evening, Hanoi Bill…who could not get that punchline out without cracking up (check our website for it).  Music and Your Choice had the entire pack of Poshmen, visitors and seagulls singing Happy Birthday, for wait for it.. themselves!
